Corey McCoy is a California-born singer-songwriter blending outlaw country, blues, and gritty rock into a sound that’s as raw and real as the highways he’s traveled. With over sixteen years of live performance experience, Corey delivers music that’s steeped in soul, storytelling, and the rugged spirit of American roots.
Corey’s journey began at sixteen, when he first picked up a guitar and started learning to sing. Raised on the sounds of Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, he was immediately hooked by the “Boom-Chicka-Boom” rhythm coming from his dad’s truck stereo. That moment sparked a lifelong devotion to music that continues to shape his identity and sound.
In 2023, Corey was discovered at an open mic night at The Grind in Riverside, CA. That chance encounter led to a creative partnership with FM Sound Studios, where Corey recorded his debut album *Spinning Wheels*—a bold, emotional collection of songs blending outlaw grit with country soul. The project, mastered by Nashville’s John Mayfield, introduced Corey’s voice to a broader audience and earned praise for its authenticity and heart.
Now, Corey is hard at work on his sophomore album, set to release in the summer or early fall of 2025. The project will showcase his continued growth as a songwriter and performer, with a powerful new single dropping soon.
