Hoag: Find a Doctor Experience
This project highlights a behavioral study aimed at optimizing the “Find a Doctor” experience to boost user satisfaction and healthcare outcomes. By analyzing user interactions through surveys, interviews, and usability testing, we identified pain points and developed user personas to guide design improvements. The result is a more intuitive and effective journey, aligning healthcare needs with business strategy.

Finding the right doctor shouldn’t be a complicated process, yet many patients face challenges navigating online platforms to find the care they need. Our study delves deep into the current “Find a Doctor” experience, identifying the obstacles that users encounter—from confusing interfaces to limited filtering options—and offers solutions that put patients first.
By understanding these pain points, we aim to create a seamless and intuitive journey that empowers users to connect with the right healthcare providers quickly and confidently.
Through comprehensive user research and competitive analysis, we map out the entire patient journey, from initial search to booking an appointment. Our approach includes gathering insights directly from users, analyzing leading healthcare platforms, and conducting scenario-based usability testing.
This rigorous process uncovers the critical touchpoints where users often struggle and highlights opportunities for improvement in design and functionality.
The findings of our study lead to actionable recommendations that focus on enhancing user experience. We propose specific UI/UX improvements, such as simplifying search filters, improving navigation, and introducing personalized doctor recommendations. Additionally, we emphasize the importance of accessibility, ensuring that the platform is usable by everyone, including those with disabilities. These enhancements are designed not only to increase user satisfaction but also to improve the overall efficiency of the platform.
By implementing our recommendations, We’ve transformed Hoag’s “Find a Doctor” experience into an intuitive, user-friendly, and efficient one. Our goal is to bridge the gap between patients and healthcare providers, making it easier for individuals to access the care they need when they need it most.
