To be able to establish an information architecture that delivers real-time information to the riders about the bike.

During my initial discovery, we’ve identified at least 60 features that were essential for the app. However, due to time constraints and a new product launch, we handpicked only 5 features for the initial roll-out.

Focus Point

  • How will the app assist the user to remotely monitor the bike using the application?
  • How will the app be utilized as a dashboard to cater to the rider’s need of information?

After talking to a handful of people, it became clear that vehicle owners have issues with the following:

  • Firmware Installation and Update
  • Navigation tracking
  • Duration of the ride from Point A to B
  • Energy consumption ( physical and electric )
  • Lack of bike controls ( light and multi-ride modes)

Although some components didn’t materialize due to time constraints and production being halted by the pandemic, the client was pretty happy about the outcome of the project. We’ve managed to do most of the scope and based on the owner’s feedback it was more convenient to utilize the bike with the phone app features.
